Half Hulls
Welcome to GiftsNautical's Collection of Authentic Half-Hull Replicas!
Celebrate great American sail boats, or commemorate your own favorite sail boat with one of our superior Half-Hull replicas! With Nearly 100 different hulls to choose from, we're sure to have the right hull for you!
The art of making half hull models is as old as shipbuilding itself. Half hulls were traditionally crafted by ship builders to give a three-dimensional shape to their hull designs and aid as a model in the construction of the real boat. Over time, sailors, boat enthusiasts, and model collectors around the world began to value half hulls for their own artistic and intrinsic value. Today half hulls adorn the walls of offices, living rooms, libraries, restaurants, and pubs worldwide.
All of our Half-Hull replicas on Gifts Nautical are constructed using only the finest woods and hardware. Such woods include seasoned mahogany, teak, laurel and hard maple. Other materials include teflon coated dacron, stainless steel cable and waxed marine brand twine for riggings. Parts are made of sterling silver, brass or chrome. Special leather, varnishes and paint is directly ordered from the shipyards.
Additionally, each Abordage Half-Hull comes with a certificate of authenticity; proving the master who made it, the country of origin, and more. All Half-Hulls are also attractively framed on solid hardwoods, and accurately painted with at least two coats of paint. Five coats of lacquer are also applied, and the model is sanded and polished at each stage, giving the work a radiant finish that protects and preserves.

GiftsNautical's Half-Hulls are truly of the highest standard and make unexpected yet surprisingly refreshing gifts. Not just beautiful, but informative, and a piece of history, our Half Hulls will truly be enjoyed by the sailor in your life!
